Game Transformers pertama telah muncul tahun lalu dan game ini tidak terlalu banyak mendapatkan sambutan yang meriah saat game ini dirilis. Game ini sama sekali tidak dibuat dengan bagus dan permainannya yang terkesan repetitif serta aksi-aksi yang tidak terlalu mengesankan membuat gamer kurang antusias untuk memainkan game ini, terutama mereka yang memang penggemar berat Transformers. Diharapkan semua ini bisa berubah saat Luxoflux, sang pengembang game ini (dengan bantuan dari Beenox untuk hasil port ke PC) mulai mengembangkan game yang dikabarkan akan dirilis bersamaan dengan film kedua dari Michael Bay.

Ada yang diganggu hantu? Panggil saja Ghostbusters! (Bukannya pemburu hantu versi Indonesia lho!) Sayangnya ini cuma karakter dalam film komedi fiksi yang pertama kali diputar pada tahun 1984 lalu, dengan dibintangi oleh Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, dan kawan-kawan. Kini hampir 25 tahun sejak filmnya beredar, Atari berniat membuat sebuah game dari cerita para pemburu hantu ini, dengan judul Ghostbusters: Video Game, untuk varian konsol seperti Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, dan tak ketinggalan versi PS2-nya.
Alur cerita dalam Ghostbusters: Video Game menyambung kisah dua tahun setelah kejadian dalam sekuel kedua film Ghostbuster (Ghostbusters 2 – 1991), dimana hantu berkeliaran bebas di kota dan mulai mengganggu penduduk kota, sehingga Walikota menugaskan kelompok Ghostbusters yang terdiri dari rekrutan-rekrutan baru untuk membantu membersihkan hantu di seluruh pelosok kota.
Makin jauh dalam game, mulai terasa perbedaan nyata yang akan kamu alami bila memainkan game ini di konsol PS2/Wii, karena art style yang disuguhkan banyak berupa gambar-gambar kartun atau animasi yang notabene lebih ditujukan kepada anak kecil. Latar belakang menjadi cerah dan berwarna-warni, sementara karakter dalam game ibarat kata cerminan karikatur dari wujud asli mereka dalam film. Bahkan tampilan para hantu pun jauh lebih imut sekarang ^.^ Intinya visual yang disajikan memang aman untuk dikonsumsi oleh anak-anak kecil usia sekolah bila dibandingkan tampilan versi yang untuk PS3/Xbox 360 yang bisa membuat kita (lagi…)
